Carpet care tips
Maintaining your carpet is essential. Just think about how much you've paid for it! The one thing we can all do in our homes is use the vacuum cleaner. Approximately 80% of soils within a carpet are dry particulate type soils and cleaning regularly, once a week or more frequently in heavy traffic areas, will prolong the life of your carpet by removing soils and grit which can damage your carpet's fibres. 
Work slowly. The more passes you make the more soil you will remove. Don't forget your crevice tool too. Use this to make sure the carpet is clean along skirting boards and around doors.
A simple but effective method of reducing soiling to your carpet is to use doormats at entrances to your home. Placing a mat in areas where you walk from a hard surface onto carpet will also reduce the amount of soil and grit which is transferred to your carpet.
In addition to your own maintenance procedures I would recommend that your carpet receives a deep clean at intervals of between 12 and 18 months. Working together we can keep your carpets looking and feeling clean and healthy all year long!
Spots and Stains.
Speed is the key to removing most spots and stains. The sooner you attend to it the more likely you are to achieve total stain removal. Firstly, blot or scrape the area which has been affected. This should give you good visible results immediately. If you have to use a cleaning solution it is always worth testing the product in an
inconspicuous area to ensure that it will not damage or discolour your carpet. Don't rub the stain as it's possible this may cause it to spread. Blot the stain and work from the outside in. When you've finished dry the affected area with a clean white towel and lift the carpet fibres too.
